Hi All, I have been told that my build date is 11/21, and my delivery date is tentative for 12/15. Does that sound right? I'm in Maine, and I have a small dealer.
Any input?

Great

Sounds good, I work at the ford plant in Norfolk Va at the truck plant. If you give me your Vin # I can go to the ford web site and keep tabs on your Mustang. Let me know :SNSign:

my priority is 15 and my vin is VHT82H 6. That doesn't sound like enough of a vin # to me, do I need more information? What is the 800 # so I can call...like I have heard everyone else?
Thanks for your help! Don, I think we have the same car, I just deleted the spoiler.

So my DORA should have the whole vin #? Is this a bogus DORA? I'll call the dealer tomorrow. When should they be able to give me a vin #? How does one track the vehicle? I also have the dealer codes, etc. This is dated the day I put my down payment on the car, I wonder if they just didn't give me the information.

lol, its not bogus. That's just your partial VIN before you get serialized. Don't worry.

Wow, that is amazing! I have been told the build date was 11/21, so I guess they are on the level. How can I track this stuff for myself?
Thanks so much,
Doc

Use your dealer code, order number, year of car, body type (ie T82), and search for the Evil Robot Lady (ERL) phone number. Also it helps to learn how to speak robot. Sounds like you're going through the "sickness" we all had while waiting...

Thanks all for your help. It was on this forum that I was given the x plan pin as well.

Well in that case you'll need this, dealer code 11549, body type T82, order number 6301.

J. the "scheduled" date only means that on that date things may start happening. It could be in the computer system with a hundred other orders in front that get built that day, it could be a few days before your car actually gets started on. But that week it should get started and most likely finished on.

Hey guys, thanks for all your help. I just got off the line with the machine, and got the 11/21 build week. I also ended up with a customer service rep, who told me that my vin number was not correct. What is the deal with that? He wanted the first 4 and last 8, then told me I had the wrong letters. Any thoughts? Now my next question to you all: What kind of car cover do you recommend?
Thanks again!

I dont recommend a car cover because if its windy and you get small rocks or dirt under the cover it could cause tiny scratches in the paint. Just what i think of them.

No, this will be a cover to protect the car from my kids...while it is in the garage! My son is 3 and my daughter 4.5, they both have "cleaned" Mommies car. I have to buff the scratches out!
I'll post this on the main forum,
Thanks again for all your help. The GM of the dealership thought I wouldn't be able to track the car, her rep said I wouldn't be able to do it!

Dyoct, I have just ordered a GT Coupe (T82 from Bartow Ford in Bartow Florida, and they gave me the order number of 0080, and I was wondering if you could see what you could tell me. I would love to check on it myself, but don't I need the dealership number to check the automated system? I appreciate anything you can do. It is a fully loaded GT on the X plan, and I am getting it for $28100. Thanks everybody!

Mr Rogers, yes you would, dealer number 24408, order 0080 is the second order in the system. The guy before you also got the 18s. You may be waiting a while, not sure what the commodity % was on the 18" wheels.
