Will a side window out of an 83 hatch fit in a 90 hatch? I tried to make it fit but it does not want to go all the way up, it almost looks right, Im not so sure that it is the right window though, but it was free. If anyone knows one way or another FOR A FACT that would definately save me some time. Thanks

83 windows have the windows frames that go around them, it is part of the door. The 90 door does not, the window is standalone with no frame. Hence, the 83 is a smaller window and not useable in that app.

Only the convertable and T-top cars dont have the frames.

Yup, so the '83's window should go right in...maybe the tracks just need to be adjusted...

The 83 window will only fit if it is a convertable or T-top window like was said in the post after mine, I didn't mention it as he said "hatchback". Not convertable or T-Top car.

He has a Hatchback Window, but, was it a T-top car? If it is JUST a hatcback, that window won't fit...

The only 83 window that should fit, would be one that came out of a convertable, or a T-top hatchback.

If it came out of a regular hatchback, it will not fit, since those had frames around them that were built into the door and the window is different.

But he said an '83 hatch window into a '90 hatch. My '90 hatch has the frames around the windows, just like my brother's '83 hatch...

Since the doors and stuff you can buy are for 79-93, I would think the windows are the same too. Especially since they are both hatches.

I have the window in the car, it goes all but about 1/2" from the top, it is really tightand it looks almost like the window is too big not too small, I can't find anything that would suggest that the windows are different, but it just doesn't seem to fit, the window track does not look to be bent, so I am at a loss on this one.
