Thanks to everyone who helped me out, HISSIN50, 94GTLaserRC, Rio5.0, nmcgrawj, and anyone I missed. They turned out nice, sorry the pics are blurry, it was dark and I turned the flash off. I ended up just running the lights wire to the driver side parklight, a LOT easier than tapping into the headlight switch. I really don't care if the gauges can dim or not. For the oil pressure sending unit, I ended up running a 1/4"-1/8" adapter, into a 1/8" x 2" (male to male) extension, then a 90* elbow (female to female) down, followed by a 1/8" x 3" (male to male) extension into aNOTHER 90* elbow (female to female) out towards the driver's side fender, then into the unit. I had to clear the p/s pump, the oil filter, the sway bar, and the bracket that has the ground wire and wiring harness on it. Major PITA, but it works, so what the hell right? I ended up not being able to tee the line to fit both units on, I had to break the stock unit to get my socket (1 1/16") to fit over it. If I ever feel like it, I'll buy another stock unit, and running that line somewhere else in the engine bay so I have more room. But not now, lol. Anyway, here's the pics.

Oh yea, I'll get some better pictures tomorrow. Like I said it was getting dark, and with the flash off, just the shudder from the engine idling was enough to get the pics blurry, lol. Oh well

Looking good!! It is a twin of my setup, except I remote located the oil pressure sender.

Did you run a copper line (or a NOS line or whatever) to somewhere else? I bought a copper line kit with some adapters and connectors, but I didn't really know how everything hooked together, then when I ended up having to break the stock sending unit to get it off, I figured there wasn't much point in relocating the new one since I was mainly gonna do it to have room for both. You got any pics of your setup? And where can I buy another stock sending unit?

I bought a steel braided line from Autometer and ran it under the engine. I mounted the sender under my blower near where the TFI module is. Year One has the stock sending units. I didnt hook my stock one back up, I just use the Autometer gauge.

Chris (and Shaun) - looks good.

Chris, I gotta' ask: in pic 3, where is your ground (that attaches to the block adjacent the stock sender) and wiring harness that runs vertical from the main harness on the oil pan (you know what I mean if you have them - they were right in the way of installing brass and senders)? See pic two from Shaun for what I mean.

It looks real good. When you go to install a Tee (and if you dont remote mount it like Shaun [I like that ]), I can send you pics of how it looks with a tee if you want.

Glad I am not the only one who can run 210*F.

Nice work with it!

Nice work Chris, but 210*

Anyway, I did not want ANY gauges to be dummies, but my stock OP is...Turns out that that is prolly the most useless anyway, since it only moves with ranges. The stock WT gauge is more usefull.

Where are your stock and Autometer WT SU's now?

Looks nice. When I put my gauges in I tapped into the clock harness... My gauges can dim with the rest of the lights But then again, my gauges replaced the clock so the wires were right there.

lol, I had not yet reattached the ground and bracket for the wiring harness. I was trying to get a pic of the SU and they were in the way, so I still had them pushed back somewhere outta the way.

Do you think 210* is hot? It was around 200* or so while driving, but once I stopped it jumped up to 210*. My stock temp. SU is still wherever Ford put it, lol, I don't know where it is, I didn't mess with it. My autometer is threaded into the new waterneck I bought yesterday. I'm going to a car show this afternoon, I'll get some more pics then and post them tonight.

210 is completely normal if the car isnt moving. If no air is moving through the radiator then the engine will warm up until the fan kicks on, which is 212 degrees with the AC off

Summit has a chrome one for $20...It looks nice but is not durable. Disc Auto Parts has the Steel ones for $10. Look like A$$, but can be painted prior to install. They can be torqued down really tight without worrying about breaking anything.

Oh I see how it is RC - you had me chasing wild geese by using the acronym DAP before, but now you post "Disc Auto Parts" for Chris. (J/K).

Chris, if you dont have DAP's there (like I dont), Autozone sells the same stat housing for 10 bucks.

good luck.

I just tapped my factory water neck, and braized it. Came out perfect. Only reads about 1* off in its current location.
