Got my new brakes in...WOW!

All I can say is wow. These things rock. 6 piston CMC billet calipers in front with the 13" rotors and the PBR Cobras in the rear with the 12" Rotors. I picked it up friday from JMC in San Diego and the brakes really are amazing now. They haul this thing down in a HURRY.

I also had the Maier Racing Panhard bar welded in and I can feel the difference this makes. Feels flatter in the corners......AND I just had the TCP manual R&P installed so, driving it friday for the first time with 3 major mods done was a little overwhelming to say the least......Here's a pic of the fronts, the calipers are almost a foot long!

Wow, those are huge calipers. Looks really sharp. Hope to see your car around someday as I work in Orange County.

Vintage wheels, 17 x 8's

I was pretty impressed with the speed that they finished my car. I am used to shops that take weeks and weeks.

Oh on a side note, Mustang Monthly came out and shot photos of the install for an upcoming article on the brakes....I thought that was kinda cool, hopefully I'll be able to see a tiny bit of my car in the mag too......

I learned the hard way a long time ago that if you plan to see track time you better have the brakes to back up the motor.

Those are a very specific crowd that can use those brakes. They are the biggest baddest ones I've seen for the early stang. 6 piston calipers, billet centers etc, etc...

Those are some bad ass brakes. how thick are the rotors? How many vanes?

TCP used CNC brakes (www.cncbrakes.com) on their racecar as well. I don't know exactly which set they were using, but they were BIG manhole size rotors with the 6-piston calipers. Terry could drive deeper and brake later than just about anyone.

They were also using some kind of fluid recirculation system, where according to Terry, after pressing the brakes 6-8 times, it would completely circulate the fluid in the system. Unnecessary for the street, but a nice little thing for the track.

If you don't mind me asking, what does the $3249 include? Specifically, does that include a master cylinder and brakes lines? If not, what master cylinder are you using?

i have a question. With huge brakes like that, when you press the brake pedal, do they have more of a tendency to lock up because of the stopping power?

The rotors are 13 x 1.25, I have no idea how many vanes..........

Same front brakes as terry ran, except I believe he ran a 12" rotor with a 4 piston caliper in the back, I am running a 2 piston PBR Cobra caliper.

rotors and calipers and brake lines and mounts, in the front you use your spindles. The master cylinder is an addl. $325 and it is VERY bitchen. Doesn't use a prop valve, it uses a bias bar. See the photo.
