Came in today..taking it for paint tomorrow:

GT500 wing (3d500)..available from most places. Only difference is that mine will be Ingot silver, and the edge (above the brake light and about triple the length) will be painted black. Will have the pedestal raised one from my CS package available if anyone interested. Will put pics when it comes in.

That's the same one as I bought. I love it! Installing them sucks, but it wasn't too bad. Here's a couple pics of it installed...

What are problems/issues with install? I was just going to let the body shop do it...Im sure they'll know what to do.

Ok turns out I have to return it..Went to my paint and body guy...we looked at matching it up to the Pedestal wing that come with the CS package. The base of mine is wider, so FORD drilled a matching set of holes about 3-4 inches behind the first set (closer to the rear window) Because the new GT 500 wing is not as wide at the base, the previously drilled holes would be exposed if I installed it. The only thing that could be done would be to fill in the holes and paint the entire trunk lid..not worth it IMO to replace a nice wing, just not the one I prefer.. OH WELL...such is life.

That sucks!! What I was refering to above is the glue that Ford used around the OE spoiler... I had a hell of a time getting it off. I guess it doesn't matter now since the GT500 spoiler won't work for you.

Yeah, GT500 spoiler only works as a replacement for the standard GT spoiler, as they're the only ones with the same mounting points. It's the same basic spoiler just a bigger version. If you really want to do it you could always get a new trunk lid, but that starts to get expensive. (BTW call it a spoiler and not a wing, you had me picturing something off The Fast and the Furious)

I think of Spoiler as something that goes on the bottom (like the front)

Anyway, if anything ever comes out that replaces the mounts of the CS spoiler, let me know

Because Saleen doesn't have it on their website and I don't think they offer it unless
you order it on a car... Mine came on the car but I was told it was around $1500.
