.

I got my car bac today and I'm glad I just got it done since I was really running out of time to do it. Did a great job. To me it feels like an entire diffrent car. Hugs the road like crazy, back end feels great too.

I ended up getting Maximum Motorsports Coil-Overs, Tokico Illumina 5 way shocks/struts, MM CC plates, MM LCAs, and Steeda HD UCAs and off-set rack bushings. Also got him to toss on my under-drive pulleys. Now my car seems to handle the way a sports-car should. Need to get the alignment done and shes good to go. Cant wait till I get my new big brake kit on. But im shure once thats on its gonna feel too slow next up...forced induction (wont be for a while tho, going travelling).

I am amazed at how much better it handles now, I dont know if its the coil overs, the shocks/struts or what but man does it feel great!!! I am running SN95 struts/shocks too for those that say you cant lower your car more then 1.5" I dunno what your talking about, my car is now probaly 2.5" lowered in the front.

Now before insurance runs out and she sleeps for winter I gotta get my tweecer rt up and running and hit a few hours on the dyno tuning!!

Are those parts better for a street car, road race, or drag?

i drive them on the street with regularity. the sway bar endlinks actually use the existing bushings for the bottom, but have a rod end where it attaches to the sway bar.

tires aside, those two items are the best suspension mods i have made--to date.

www.stangsuspension.com is where I got it all from best prices. Look it up on there MM coil over kit. Then I would get MM caster camber plates to match, then a set of shocks/struts to match the coil-over kit of your choice.

How would those parts do in a drag setup?

Looks great. I just did a similar setup. I went with the bilsteins though. I had the H&R Race springs, and Tockico HPs on for a bit. The coil over kit is 10 times better hands down.

As said above, get a panhard next up. It is easier to install than the instructions let on. Makes a huge difference in the rear end predictability.

Here are some pics of the panhard and torque arm. You car is one of my favs here though. Keep up the outstanding work.

Don't mind the exhaust. It is just a temp setup until spring hits. She is in storage right now.

MM panhard and HD torque arm.

Torque arm to SFCs.

Cool pic if the exhaust was centered.

YOU WILL DEFFINETLY FEEL THE PANHARD BAR THOUGH. GREAT MOD IMO.

14" Magnaflow magnapacks. Not bad, but my Mac flowpaths were louder. These are great at WOT though. You can feel it in your chest. With the right cam these would be great at idle. I think I am goin back to my MACs in the spring.

91LX_5L - that is a great place to get parts. Brian is always a cool guy to deal with there. Usually has some great prices too.

How much adjustment room do you still have with that setup?

I know this is old news, but what front bumper is that? Any fitment issues? Looks like something I want on my Cobra. Cobra R is just too much bulk for these cars, but yours looks like it follow sthe factory side skirts really well.

Sniffer????? Whats that???? j/k

That would be pretty funny since I can't even get a floor jack under the rear axle anymore.

I have the car registered as a collector car, so no smog for me.

i would venture a guess and say not too well. Seeing how all that stuff firms up the suspension which would take away the "squat" a drag car is suppoesed to have .

Agreed, I am more of a road course guy. I would say to use a totaly different setup for drag.

Sweet man Ill go with a MM panhard down the road.

ONE QUESTION...

While they installed this stuff the guy removed my counterbalance thing on the rear end/drive shaft where ever that weight is. Im not sure if thats whats causing it but in 5th gear with light accel I notice a slight vibration comming from the rear end. Would the LCAs or UCAs cause this or do you guys think its the weight that we removed?

Thanks!!!

I feel kinda dumb for not reading your sig before posting about the bumper. I have heard of issues with the dogbone being removed, however, I can't have one due to the Torque arm, and I have no issues at all. I don't see how it could be the control arms, but you never know with these cars. I was always told never to remove it unless you put a set of gears in. I heard it was only to balance the factory gears. Hope you get more info. She still looks great though.

What speed are you shifting into 5th gear when you get the vibration????

its basically when im doing 100 KMPH (im Canadian). with super light throttle. Ill throw it back on. I was told by the last owner he put 355s in the rear which I belive. Anyways ill see if that helps.

Sorry I didnt notice your question. It fits great I added it to my cobra bumper. Im pretty sure I could drop the frotn another 1+" if I wanted.

Thats a good set up you have going.

I wish someone would buy my Tokico Alumina 5 way adjustible shocks/struts and give them a good home on a stang somewhere.

How much did you pay for yours? Just trying to get a guage on why mine have not sold yet. I have them listed for less then what I bought them for.
