got new jlt cai/tuner combo question

My cousin just got a jlt cai/tuner from brenspeed for his gt and has a problem. Ever since he got his O/R h pipe the check engine light came on (he didn't get the mil eliminator). He says he can get the check engine light to turn off but it comes back on, what does he need to do to get it to stay off?

i think he needs the MIL eliminators, they basically tell the computer the cats are still there i think.

I dunno what the code would be if it was the offroad H causing it, but hook up a scanner to it to find out what the code is saying and then go from there.

I thought there was a way to turn off those O2 sensors with the tuner?

Did he get the O/R H pipe after he got the tune? If so, he will have to get an updated tune to shut off the sensors. Brenspeed leaves a few optional user adjustments you can do but that isn't one of them (at least not on my x3)

No he got the o/r h first, I'm not sure if he advised brenspeed when getting the tune. That may be the issue though..

I'd say there is a problem with the tune. Contact Brent and he should correct it All of his tunes turn off the rear O2 sensors no matter what mid pipe you're running. He told me a few years ago that the O/R H would make no difference in that sense.

Hmmm, maybe the active sensor has gone bad? Pull the code and see what it says. Maybe just a coincidence, could be something other than an O2 sensor - are all connections tight on the JLT?

Brenspeed could of forgot to turn them off. Just call them and have them look up the tune file.
