I went to buy some aod torque converter of ebay and the guy never shipped so now im pissed but i should be getting my 220 back from pay pal. The tranny already has a shift kit. Should i do gears or save for another stall conveter. No matter what both will be getting done. But will i have more fun with the gears?

If you got an AOD go for some 4.10's

A technical thread might ask something to the effect of:

"How do I install gears?", not "Would gears be more fun than a stall converter?".

Moving thread to TALK section.

A couple of weeks ago I upgraded to a TCI 3000 stall from a 2200 stall in my 3.73 geared AOD (It also has a shift kit and wide ratio gearing). The converter is great fun..stock was terrible. As to converter vs gears, it's a coin toss. They both make an extremely noticeable difference, but the converter's difference (albeit big) is only from a stop. I'd say go with the gears.
