yes, he painted it because his interrior was black and the stang it came out of had gray interrior...... with any luck you can find one from a stang that has the same color interrior as yours

they have what they call dark grey, and to me it's close to black but just not the same.....

Yep... painted it... and it didnt come out gloss black for some weird reason.

Then I painted the bezel that goes around the shifter before I put the leather boot on and it came out perfectly.

Maybe I'll try the console again.

i did one that was tan for my car at one time.... while back before i picked up my black one i have now.....


I used degreaser scrubbed it down, used alcohol before i painted it, and a tack cloth...... a bit overboard but whatever..... I came out good only thing is once you put a couple coats of that stuff on it seems to actually dull instead of get better.....
