I just posted this in 4.6 tech and thought i'd get your folks input. I just got my Maximum Motorsport subframe connectors welded on today. Why are they so important? I don't really feel any difference. I know they help body roll, twisting, nose dive and all that but how will they help me in drag racing? Will they help my 1/4 mile?

That's weird that you don't feel a difference... I heard they make the car feel like a million times better. If you don't mind me asking how much did you pay for them and where did you get them? And they are the full length ones right?

my car has all types of stress marks in the roof and by the doors, all before the sub frames were put in.

I noticed a huge difference on my 88 GT when I got them welded in and somewhat of a difference on my 2000. Did they weld them up the whole way? And on every part of the car they contact?

Humm, I noticed it right away. Especially going up a driveway.

I guess with all of the hype of these things i expected more too. i really haven't had much seat time today so maybe once i get on the road a little more i'll notice it. I paid about $170 for the connectors from The Mustang Shop and $88 for the install. I almost wish i didn't put them in until next week. We have our first test and tune at the track this weekend and it would have been nice to have a baseline to judge the performance against. Oh well. I'll just have to compare to last years times i guess with all of my new mods. Do you think I can pick up 6-7 tenths of a second with the following mods? Subframe connectors, Nitto 315 Drag radials, Centerforce clutch, SCT Excalibrator tune, Magnaflow Magnapacks, mac straightshot CAI. those are all the mods I've done over the winter and I'd like to dip into the 13's. Do i have any chance?

Yup they're full length and are welded at every touch point. I do notice a little difference going around corners. It feels weird, instead of, for lack of a better term, "bending" around the corner it feels like your trying to turn a 2x4 around a corner. Still has body roll up top though. That will have to change with lowering springs, struts, LCA's and UCA's I guess.
