For the most part I think that this is a pretty nice car, but the rear brakes just stuck out to me as crazy. I hope this is a homegrown idea.

I'm pretty sure I've seen those for sale on some online stores like JC Whitney and such. Ricers LOVE them. Seen 'em installed on Civics and whatnot all around town...

Me, I have no shame. Frankly, I don't care if the world sees my crappy stock drum brakes because hey, they're stock, and so is 99% of the rest of my car. Even so, when I did paint mine, I painted 'em black, as opposed to something obnoxious and obvious like yellow or red or even silver. Why draw attention to something that isn't worth looking at? ... which is pretty much what one would be doing with those fake cross-drilled "rotors."

It does look like they are just fake covers. Actually drilling the drums is a curious idea though... Might be a cool idea for a retro-style hot rod that uses drums at all 4 corners.

if you go to Universal Studios in Fl they have the volkswagon and the charger from the first Fast and Furious movie and the jetta has those on all four corners. it's like stock brakes with those cross drilled plates right behind the wheels.

this actually does not look bad

But I do like the color so that may help.
I know someone who actually spraypainted paper plates gold and poked holes in it, then put them behind Wal-fart "rims"
