OK, I went to Fun Ford Weekend in Commerce, GA this weekend and I've got the fever! I don't have to have the fastest car in the world......but I gotta have a choppy cam! I have a 2002 GT that is stock except for Flows. It has about 44k miles on it so warranty is no longer an issue. It would have to pass emissions since I live in the Atlanta area. My question is how much would it cost to get Lope I need (parts and labor)and what would I need to change out to do it? What would be the best cam to get the chop yet remain streetable? Thanks!
You have camS, as in two. Cams alone will cost you in the neighborhood of $550 and the labor will vary greatly depending on who does the work but it is a fairly involved job so it won't be cheap.
T&J Performance is located in Atlanta and is a good source for cams as they are a dealer for VT Engines as well as Comp. They'll be able to guide you in the right direction.
