Granada Spindles are often mentioned on this forum as a method of getting a more modern front end (disc brakes, ride height?). In the UK our Ford Granada runs a McPherson strut front end, so I know ours and yours are different (unlike some of the FoMoCo stuff that the factory sells on both sides of the Pond).

What are the specifics about the Granada that I'm looking for? Years produced, engine sizes etc etc. A pic might be useful too.

No doubt we have a few rotting away in junkyards over here - maybe I can get to them before anyone else does...

Thanks yet again.

What you need to look for are pre 1980 Granada/Monarch ( Mercury made these, same car as a Granada) Also the same years Lincoln Versailles ( again , same car just by Lincoln) the Versailles had a disc brake equipped 9" rearend that's a direct bolt in to a Stang, which was also an option on the Granada/Monarch so it pays to look under these too, to see what rear is under them. Other Ford/Mercury cars to get the disc brake spindles from are the 70's Maverick/Comet, 71-73 Stangs, 70-71 Torinos/Montego. All these cars shared the same suspension and the spindles are interchangeable. I have also seen a kit to adapt a strut type suspension to earlier Stangs too, you might want to search on that in your case. The Granada/Monarchs are getting scarce here, after the recent spike in scrap prices, so prices for their parts have also gone up.
