So, I recently added new calipers, rotors and pads to the rear on my 35th aniv gt. I let my car sit about a week on jack stands with the brake cables disconnected and now there is air in my abs unit. I can't get my brakes to bleed, someone said I can gravity bleed it by breaking the lines. What the hell are they talking about?
Also, my e-brake is not connected right now because i can't get any slack from it. My handle is stuck down and won't budge. When I did hook it up, I oculdnt pull it up, so I just disconnected it again. Any help on that would be appreciated as well. Thankx

when you let the cables sit disconnected did you cap them off? you do realise that youve let teh master cylinder run empty, you need to fill and bleed that, then try the gravity bleed method. if you still have air in the ABS unit, the expensive tool they talked about in that thread is a WDS or IDS. which is a ford factory scan tool. you could also use a scan tool with ford ABS capability. the scan tool will cycle the ABS hydraulic solenoids and let you bleed them. at least this way you can flush out all your old brake fluid.
