The girlfriend did good this year! I'm really hard to buy for, if I want something I usually just grab it for myself. I also hate asking for expensive parts for my cars from someone else so I typically just respond to the age old what do you want for your birthday question with a "just get me a nice card". The girlfriend didn't accept that as a good answer and definitely stepped up her game.
This is what she had made for me:
It's printed canvas and will make a nice addition to the car decor in my house!

Has anyone else received cool car related gifts?

Ha, awesome. Gotta love canvas art. My example is not a Mustang per se....but it is a running pony.

I did that for my girlfriend last year. She used to ride equestrian professionally, but a divorce and following hard financial times had her having to give up what she loved and sell her prized jumping horse.

I found a video from a local event she competed in (and won) couple of years back and had it laid out onto a sheet of canvas. I pulled a still from the video, then modified it, purposely blurring the image and distorted the sharp edges until it resembled an actual painting. Turned out great....

She has it hanging in her living room now.

My wife stole my car while I was out of town and had a friend do a photo shoot with it. She then gave me all the pictures in small size and two large framed prints of her favorites. Probably the most sneaky surprise she ever pulled off for me as I'm not easy to surprise.

We must be dating the same kind of women. Mind did that exact thing to me too....although she'd kill me if I ever posted those pictures.

Is it wrong that I was a little bummed that she was in some of the pictures, because they would have been some really nice shots of the car on its own? lol

You've got a great woman Nick! When my wife asks me what I want for my b-day, I just request special favors, since that's easy.
