I have a 2002 gt and just bought a cobra bumper cover.I want to get the floating pony but do not want that black trim piece that comes with the kit.There are no holes where the honeycomb should go and i do not want to put any there if i dont have to .I should be able to fabracate a bracket to hold the pony up,right?Do you all think it would look alright without the trim piece.Thank guys.

go to www.mustangsunlimited.com they have the floating pony's there in the emblem section.

p.s. you don't need to fabricate any bracket. they pony comes with it. Don't worry about the trim either. you don't need it.

That is the way I am going to do it, but my car is black, so I don't think the trim piece will be noticeable. If it looked bad without the trim, I don't see why you couldn't just paint the area where it would be black.
