Grinding Cobra Intake Mani

Ok I searched for the answer first with no luck! I have the cheap chinese :bs: cobra intake manifold. I recieved the new baffle a few weeks ago and my next job is to grind off whatever it is that is keeping my distributor something like a tooth or two off? Anyone have pictures of what to grind off / how much to take off?

If you look at the original manifold (or any other one except for the Chinese Cobra copy, I think) the thermostat housing area of the lower has a relief in it that allows clearance for the distributor to rotate. The new Cobras don't have that relief. The housing is a big round lump and the distributor hits it.

The fix is to rotate the distributor two teeth counter-clockwise. It should end up looking something like this:

Note the orientation of the distributor control module.

The problem with this is that now the boss on the bottom half of the distributor cap will be trapped inside of the driver's side fuel rail. The fix for this is to grind off the boss to allow the distributor to rotate past the fuel rail.

If you try to grind down the offending area of the manifold, I see two potential problems. First, it's going to look like complete crap. Second, I doubt there's enough extra material there to do it.
