Hello, I'm not sure exactly where to post this as I am new to this forum, but my issue is as follows:
I have a 1998 3.8 L v6 Mustang which I recently purchased. The vehicle has been very fun so far except today I experienced a scary problem and I don't know what is going on. When I either I'm in first gear with the clutch pushed in slowing down to a stop, or at a stop revving it in first with the clutch pushed, I will occasionally hear extremely loud grinding that sounds like it's coming from the gear box.
It almost seems like my clutch cable isn't able to be pushed far enough in, and sounds similar to the noise made when trying to shift with the clutch only half pushed. That's just a wild guess, I have no idea what the problem is. Does anyone have any thoughts??
