alrighty guys i love the 4 eyes better than the newer style im not looking to start a fight by the way but i was wondering if there were any cool front bumpers or side skirts that really modernize the late 70's early 80's wonderful foxes if anyone knows any good ones please let me know and pretty soon cause i am getting some money pretty quick and it will get spent one way or the other.

how about you just paypal me the money and your car will stay beautiful the way it was meant... some one made a funky looking wide body kit. i saw one one a black mustang years ago, only i didnt really know it was a mustang at the time....

what?! i need some exterior mods besides the obvious new hood i need more any ideas i dont want to slaughter my 4 eyes cause i love it but i need a little exterior mod to show it off a lot more. tell me please!!!

The best mod you can do to the outside a 4 eye is a very nice, single color paint job, and some nice wheels. Even with a stock hood it's going to look mean as hell.

ya im on the same track as you are. I was wondering if i could buy a front clip off of a 79 pacecar or sumtin i like the look of those? Some one gots to know.

You can convert all of it to the newer gt sides and rear but your front belt moulding will be a different style on your front four eyed bumper cover. you can also get saleen style effects but make sure you get a fiberglass front air dam cuz' it will need mods to fit right and urethane isn't so friendly when it comes to reshaping. You can also still buy 86 style effects from saleen, they are basically the same but the front air dam is flatter and has a more retro 80's look to it. And lastly you can go cobra with your sides and rear but the front must remain the same. a buddy of mine with rather eclectic tastes in color made his own front air dam and used some swap meet sides with a saleen rear. heres pics.

hey tim the toolman i really like that body kit i have an LX so it would bea little tougher what kind of body kit is it? and where can i get one maybe if you owuld look at my stang it would be easier for you to tell me if it would work.

I used to have a 1985 Vert and I bought some ground effects for it...but I can't remember where...anyway, the '85 bit the dust before I got 'em on. I bought an '89 LX and had it repainted... I also had the ground effects put on and to my suprise they fit(all except the rear). They are made by Xenon and they probably have a website you can go to...I think the whole set cost me like $500 though. I think it looks pretty good, but I would like to find a saleen rear for it(car looks a little top heavy)

Saleen from air dam with cobra sides & some ... ugh I think it was saleen front & rear "spats" looked real sweet on a friends 86.

like i said it was handmade by the owner, if you can work with fiberglass you could make one yourself, the rear is a saleen knock off and the sides a kaminari's i believe, but they don't make them anymore.

Does anyone have that pic of the dark maroon 85-86 with flared fenders, suicide doors, a tan tweed interior, and the chrome steering wheel. There was a site with a bunch of car shows pics of it with mirrors under it and the whole bit. Anyone know the car i am talking about? It was in the mags a few years back too.
