Does anyone have one or know exactly what advantages they are supposed to give? I see them all over the net for around 20 dollars and they say they give about a 2% HP increase along with better throttle response and such, is this legit? Thanks for the help

I believe this is a more popular upgrade on imports, but doesnt it have something to do with your ignition? Oh well, 2% increase on our cars is like 5.2 flywheel horsepower, so about 200 dollars for about nothing sounds GREAT! I dunno, just sounds like a waste to me. I have however heard good things about the plasma booster, so maybe look into that.

Basically what it is is about 10 pieces of 2-3 ft long 4-8gauge wire. You attach them to things like your alternator, your valve covers, your engine block, your ignition coil etc. Then it comes with a metal piece that is a central ground and grounds all the parts said above. Just doesn't seem like it'd be worth all the wires running all over my engine.

Actually madmatt, its not 200 dollars for the kit, it is only 20 dollars, so 5 HP to the flywheel for 20 dollars is not that bad.

A BS mod IMHO. Get pulleys, gears, a chip, mid pipe etc. etc. no-one uses that junk for a reason. Thats a waste of 200 bucks.

Read above again. It's $20 not $200. and you can build them cheaper than thet if you buy the pieces seperately yourself. I had a nice setup on my last car and it cost a total of $11 to do it.

The setup helps the car have a better and cleaner ground. This helps the entire electrical system, not jus tthe ignition. But yes for as cheap as it is to do it it's worth it. The trick is finding the best mounting points.

my roomate just installed a grounding kit on hit car.....a power gain is unnoticable of course but throttle response is definatly improved......takes about an hour to install and IMO is definatly worth the 20 bux.
