im lookin into buying a 345hp gt-40 crate motor and it looks like they only offer them with the 93 water pump and timing cover set up.my question is will this work with my alt bracket and pwr steering bracket off my 94?if not,why not?i guess i could just take the cover and stuff off my motor and put it on the crate motor but that just seems like a pain.any help out there.

i would not get the gt 40 crate. a freind of mine said while attending UTI, they dynoed a 345 hp version at a little over 200. also, another freind of mine has one in his fox body with all the supporting bolt ons and me and him are neck and neck. check my garage for my mods. this is me OFF the bottle by the way.

HERE is the engine you should get....

J/K.... but for real... why do the 331's cost more than the 347's??? You would think they would be the same price..... if anything, the 347 being more because of the larger pistons.......

I have that engine you are going to buy. I had to reuse my oil pan and pickup tube, dipstick, water pump, harmonic balancer, valve covers and thats about it if I remember right. My car is making the same power it did when I had my P head setup. Oh yeah I would replace the stock oil pump with a high volume as well.

Wow, can't they be held liable for advertising 345 HP and only putting out 200?? :fuss:
