When I pulled the heads at the boneyard I lost two push-rods. can I use the stockers. If not where is a good source to buy them ?

also what about the lifters will the stockers work ?

I'd buy new push rods, and check the lifters for smooth rollers and marks on the sides but they are likely ok, they are not that expensive though.

Just fyi... if you don't know.. you'll need to change the springs on the gt40s.

Im with the thief... new push rods and lifters would be great if you can do it. Nothing like firing the stang up and hearing that good ole mustang lifter tap.

A friend is doing a 95 and was thinking about the exploder heads. What intake with a carb would work and can he just drop in a HEI intake for the 5.0 and go with that?????

They're are header to plug fitment issues on the gt40 3 bar heads. The normal 5.0 intake stuff will hold on the gt40 heads without issue. I think I used BBK unequal length shorties with 90° spark plug boots, heat sleeves, and actual header plugs ( shorter ) but not sure....its been a few years...like 16 to be exact. A lot changes in that much time.

It's actually the GT-40P heads with four bars that are the problem heads with the different spark plug angle.
