I was wondering how much of a difference in performance between the cast iron gt-40 heads and the stock heads on gt's? Thanks

You will see an increase in performance, but not as much until you install some supporting mods such as intake and fuel. A cam will also help to reach the full potential of the heads.

With your user name I would assume you have a cobra and if you do then they already come with the gt40 heads. If not they are better than the stock gt e7 heads (bigger valves, int/exh ports are larger) you will notice a difference. How much of a difference has to do with what else has been done to the car.

Where can you buy GT-40 heads new? Do they still sell them anywhere or are they only used ones out there?
