Hi,

I pulling my engine out of a 88gt. It has mild bolt ons ie. full exhaust, 65mm throttle body, 70mm mass air, electric fan.

Are gt-40 heads worth messing with? I could get a set out of a explorer at the local junkyard for $120.00 and my shop works with a local machine shop that could clean them up cheap.

What do I need for them? as far as valves springs and such. I plan on going pretty much stock. I have a explorer intake and injectors. Also the person I bought the car from said there was a aftermarket cam in it but I not positive.

Thanks,

Justin

I agree with above...you can make those heads move some air with a little work. But old TW heads or RPM heads are pretty easy to come by and they will always be a little ahead of GT40's when it comes to flow....I'd grab to GT40's, but be on the look out for other heads for sale
