what do u guys think one's worth considering its been discontinued for a while now and how hard are they to come by? what do u think would be too much to pay for it?

just so everyone knows its the aluminum ford piece that goes with the tubular gt40 intake and says "5.0 HO EFI" and has a running horse on it.

i ask cause i found one but didn't want to get taken on it... sure would be nice to have one finally

WOW!! people on corral are saying they've gotten 200-225 for them what ever happened to hobbyists? ya know not these crooks!

if i have mustang parts that i can't use i'll get rid of em for next to nothing if another enthusiast can use them and not turn around and sell them for more than they paid...

One of my friend's sold a few he had on eBay to fund his new combo. He got over $100 each for them: one used (10 years old), one polished, one new.

I've seen them sell on the 'Bay for over $200 as well. FYI, Boss Inc sells a couple of different aftermarket ones with different designs on them. As much as I'd like to have an original for my new intake, I'll probably just use one of theirs.

I dont understand why this gt40 crap goes for so much? I mean the intake looks cool, but dam man its not worth $650 on ebay, or used cobra heads for $500 with 100k miles on em, hell I cant even get $250 for my ported p heads and they run out stronger than regular gt40's, I dont get it?

Sold on eBay for $177.50. I was going to snipe in at the last minute with a $150+ bid, but it went over that with 10 minutes left.

damn snipers, if I had a nickel for every time I got sniped I would have like 50 cents. that's a sign I should get rid of dial up.

I can't believe how much those things go for. They are not even a quality piece. They do look great though. I have seen new ones on eBay with paint drips and scuffs. The one I have looks good, but it is hard to get it to line up to the holes on the intake to screw it on.

I think a polished GT40 tubular intake looks hot, without any cover. If your in a need of a cover, Just buy the one for $34 off that website and spary it any color you want or add a running horse to it, Why waste $120 bucks on something cosmetic, when you be creative and make somehting better and unique.

My .02 cents.
