GT-40 "p" need quick reply!!

Are there really problems with the exaust fitting on these heads (I have Tri-Ys)? What about pushrods, can I use the stockers? I found a guy locally that will sell me GT-40Ps along with ford racing roller rockers for $600 Should I buy them or Would it just be a big pain in the butt? BTW Its a 64.5 with a 260.

GT-40 heads(like Cobra) $325... 1.7RR's $150... these are used prices...I recently purchased on eBay a set of GT-40y's(aluminum)w/1.7rr's $675.....So $600 for GT-40p's w/rr's not a real great deal.
Try shopping in the clasifieds here.
Usually you do need special exhaust manifolds for the p heads. The problem is you cant install or pull the spark plugs w/regular manifolds on. Though I do believe that cast Hi-po manifolds will work.

The price for the heads is a bit high. You can get a used set of aluminum heads for that price without the headache of buying special headers to make things work...
