Problem: 99 cobra lost a timing chain, interference valves hit, and damage internally unknown at this time. One option were looking into is replacing that engine with a 4.6 2V engine from a GT and supercharging it. Why? Its cheaper and GT engines are much more available then another Cobra engine.

I was wondering what kind of issues would there be, if any, with the computer systems, would this be a plug and play swap, or would we be swapping computers and wires?

Again, this is just a thought, so let me know if anyone has any input on this.

I think you'd be jipping yourself, and the car. Why not just put a carb'd chebby 350 in it?

Honestly, I would be attempting to build off that block if its not damaged. bore+stroke 4v = ooooo.

You would need to swap out computer's obviously, mounts should be int eh same spot and the big issue is the decrease in power.

I personally wouldn't do it. You can have the engine rebuilt or just find one on eBay with low mileage.

I suggest you tear it all down and see what's all really bent/destroyed.

Henry Ford is rolling over in his grave....

jk, I'm with everyone else on this one. The 2v may be cheaper but you'll regret it in the long run. Stick with the 4v
