Since my GT doesn't have knock sensors, and before I put the KB on, I was thinking about adding some. However I heard the ECU needs to be changed. Would it be possible to use a Cobra ECU? Or is it not even worth the hassle?

Not worth the hassle. Knock sensors are more of a burden than they are worth. Just make sure you get a good dyno tune after installing the blower and you should be fine. Knock sensors have been known to activate pre-maturely due to outside vibration not related to the actual engine performance.

I agree, if you want to spend the money on a safeguard, get a wideband o2 with a display. It is a good investment with a poweradder.

'03 -04 Cobras and '99 and up Lightnings don't have knock sensors because theblowers make too much noise that's hard to filter out. I ditto the last response, get a good wideband and watch A/F and listen for detonation.

I have been using MSD knock alert for sometime on my 02 GT. Visual and sound alert. Light goes from light green to red depending on the amount of knock.

Can adjust sensitivity..

How/where does the sensor for that device mount?
