I've read that some long tubes, such as Bassani i believe, only work with Basanni mid pipes. Are there any other exhaust companies that are like this and require brand specific part matching?
Thanks,
Alex

Most are the same that way. VRS is a company which makes aftermarket mid-pipes for almost all header manufacturers. Bassani is an exception though, because their headers are not a true "longtube" design, they are a "mid length" header in that they don't extent down all the way, the collectors are angled and hookup to the midpipe at an angle (good for ground clearance!).

I custom fabbed my H up from a universal kit from jegs...cost me about 50 bucks. If you can weld this may be a good option.

They are different as well. My Prochamber would not match up to my BBK headers without some slight modification and bending - thus I went with a BBK O/R H.

Yup, your right. I was looking at the Dr Gas X pipe which says it will work on either, but it comes in pieces and needs to be welded so that makes sense.
