I am in the process of installing a gt pump in my car since my stock pump and bap is maxed out. I have elimintated the pprv, drilled holes in basket, plan on running hose direct to hat etc. will the stock sock flow enough with the gt pump?I also am upgrading the wiring from pump, 12 guage to hat and 12ga from hat, whats the best way for connection at the hat? the connector on top looks non-removeable and I don't want to just splice into the wire coming out, it would just defeat the purpose of upgrading. also how much power will the rollover switch handle?

Thanks

To do the wire mod, you just splice into the wire coming out of the hat. I would run 10ga wire, thats what I did.

And the stock hat will flow enough for the GT pump. I know a lot of people have done this upgrade with great success. I didnt want to F with all the fabricating so I just bought the cobra tank and pumps.

my question was how to handle the wire connection THRU the hat without splicing. I have that part figured out, just running new post's. and what I wanted to know was about the sock/filter that is mounted on the pump. would the stock sock/filter flow enough for the gt pump
