GT side scoop removal

I need to find out how to remove the gt side scoops so I can get them painted. Anyone done this??????

Or remove the interior quarter trim to access the fasteners.

Take your chances with pulling it off you will most likely not break the clips and it is easier than taking the door apart.

gotta go from the inside. they have these plastic clips that have and arrow like thing that goes into the car.

take the insert piece out first.. try to slide it a little bit cause its got a little plastic hook on the inside, then it'll pop right off.. from there you can reach your hand in and work it by each plastic pin so you don't break them and can reuse for reinstall.. easy job should take no more than 60sec a side.

Hmm, mine has friction washers pushed on plastic pins not "arrow clips"...

When I put on the Bullitt side panels I just yanked the GT scoops of none of the arrow clips broke. I reused them on the Bullitts.

Almost the same here. I slid off the honeycomb filler piece, and worked the scoop out with a small screwdriver against the body underneath the scoop. Popped right off, and was able to reuse my clips on the Bullitt panels.

I just pulled mine off, nothing broke, I just pulled gently and everthing came apart fine. Hopefully its as easy for you!!!! Let us know what you end up doing!
