gt take-off exhaust

I don't think the H-pipe fits but the catback is worth getting. The stock Y-pipe can be cut behind your cats and a midpipe fabricated from there to the GT catback. You also have to get a muffler hanger for the right side and exhaust tip hangers for the rear.

if you get the GT Takeoff exhaust free, then it will not be a waste of money.

Otherwise, invest in a nice catback system. If you are looking to make some noise, you won't get that with a GT Takeoff system.

Yeah, um, ok, I think I'm going to have to, uh, kinda disagree with that. (<- read with voice of Lumberg in mind)

I have the gt take off exhaust and it makes quite a bit of noise. I think that where you will find the noise factor is in the type of muffler and the size of the piping. I am not going to be like other people that don't have experience with what they strongly believe, but rather, tell you that I know that I have gt takeoffs and it produces quite a bit of sound and has caused my dad to wake up when I drive down the street. Responses will be of the "that is ridiculus and wrong" sort, but with all honesty, it has. Like I said, my opinion on sound is that it is determined by the muffler and size of pipes. The gt take off will likely end up costing you more due to cost of materials, as there is more material involved, but I feel it was worth it and I have quite a sense of pride when I see my two exhaust pipes out the rear instead of the one.
When it comes to fitting the exhaust parts you have found, it will rely solely on the labor, because with any metal pieces, they can be adjusted through welding and other means to fit your specifications. I guess I'm not too famaliar with the 99+ stock exhaust setup. If it has the y-pipe, then the cat, the gt takeoff will require some major modification in addition to an additional cat. My knowledge of gt takeoffs are that they are cat->back, meaning no y-pipe, and two cats. If the system you are picking up starts at headers, I think you'll have all you need.
At this point I'm just rambling, post more questions that need answering so that I can direct my reply accordingly.

Your Sig says you have GT Takeoff's with Flowmasters and not just a plain ol GT Take off exhaust.

I was referring to just a plain jane GT Takeoff exhaust with stock ford mufflers hooked onto a V6. Its not going to make a lot of noise.

But of course, change out the mufflers and yeah....nice sound you will have...
