This is bolt in, right....looks like the LX lights have an extra clear lens reverse bulb....do I need to re-wire?

Thanks,
Mike

It should be the same housing with a different lens (GT vs LX)

I did it. very simple. I did fail inspection though causw my turnsignal was white. they have to be amber in my state. thw gt housing has a orange cover over the white bulbs. so get 1156a bulbs

They dont have extra bulbs... yank the GT lenses off, slap the LX lenses on, and change the turn signal bulbs to amber ones. 1156A bulbs sound right.

While you're there you might want to give the inside of the lense housings a fresh coat of silver paint to restore the light output.

Cool!! I knew something was different with the light bulbs.....I won the entire housings and lenses off eBay so I can switch whenever I want....so, won't be taking it apart to paint the silver. On my other project cars, I do that using Testor's Model Master Chrome enamel...works really good!

Just change the turn signal bulbs to amber bulbs...or red bulbs if you can find some.

Federal law states that rear turn signals must be either red or amber.
