GT40 intake painted!! PICS

I just ot done painting my gt40 intake and I think it looks really good. Man was it a pain in the ass. I think I spent about 30 hours b/c I screwed up on the "mustang" once and had to do it again. The paint is VHT engine paint. Anyway, heres the pic (sorry about the quality, the 'mustang' is not all fuzzy, thats just my camera) let me know what you think.

The UPS man is supposed to bring me all my stuff from Ed C. today, so it will go on this weekend hopefully. BTW - The rest of my engine is also painted black w/ red trim so everything will match. I will post pics when it all goes back together.

That does look good...although I know a lot of guys, especially into show, would cringe at seeing the upper tubular runners of the GT40 design painted black.

The Mustag is painted on. That is what took a large amount of time. I hade to use a real thin sheet that adhesive on one side called Frisket, its about the only thing I could find that woudn't leak and wouldn't leave any residue on the black paint.

mmm. . sexy. The GT-40 upper rules. I guess I'm just a tool when it comes to a cooler looking intake, none tops the GT-40.

Here you go, I still GOTTA do something about the radiator hoses, and paint the PS reservior black, alonmg with a few other things, but I'll worry about that when my car is running again
