Some know, some don't my brother has a GT40P set up that he recently tossed a cam in. Had a dyno set up this weekend but decided to hit a track rental on Friday. Car wasn't hooking great and he is still knocking down the driving, but in 2500-3000 DA snagged a bunch of 12.0-12.1s.

Took it to the dyno the next day and left with 313/336 I believe. Nice flat torque curve as well. Dyno operator and some others think 11.7-11.8s in good weather. Not bad for a stock bottom end, GT40Ps and a Cobra intake.

I just love hearing about simple setups making good power and good times to match. Make me laugh when you see these people who pull 400+RWHP and can't break out of the 13's.

Didn't even notice the hatch pop open... Might have been left open before the pass, or the latch not grabbing it perfect. The car shouldn't twist, it had a cage and subframes in it.

Thanks, the car isn't where it should be just yet. I'm sure he will be heading to the track very shortly with it. Try to snag an 11.99 or better at least.

Mike I can find the numbers on the cam. It was spec'd for the car by my fathers engine builder. Mike Dez was impressed with the numbers when he tuned it.

Brother has the cam info. I believe it is based off a comp cam, but custom from my fathers engine guy. He had Mike Dez tune it with a chip. Chip was worth about 10 peak hp, but I guess a bunch through the curve and the car runs and drives much better. Revs faster etc...

Heads are unported, but do have matched valve springs, a good valve job and have been milled some. They were designed around NMRA Factory Stock rules but when the cars started going faster and faster my dad built an all motor 9 second combo and my brother put the old FS motor into his street car.
