GT500 Parts

i went down to ford today and priced out several parts for the front end conversion. i am posting the "list" price, not my price.

hood: 681.75
bumper: 238.03
deflector: 30.97
fog lamps: 111.07 EACH
headlamps: 132.23 EACH
grille: 200.08

total "list" price is 1637.43. thats the price for joe schmo on the street. if you can get wholesale, or employee price, you obviously are $$ ahead.

i got the new guy, so i am not 100% sure that this is everything needed for the front end swap. there might be some other small things, bu this is the majority of the parts needed.

Bigcat you are my hero. Really I just got so very excited right there. I actually just messed up my lower front bumper (Ouch ) and now I'm so very excited. When do the parts go on sale?

Hey guys, you don't need the hood. The whole front end can be installed without the hood and it looks great. I saw a picture on another forum and it actually looks better IMO without that raised area in the hood showing what I think is a bit too much grill.

Actually I have small clearance issues with the stock hood because of my blower anyway. a raised hood would be nice.

Can you find those pictures?

apparently, they are already selling some stuff. i think it depends on your dealership. i did not ask about availabililty, because i cant buy it right now anyway. by the time i have the $$ for it, they will be available.

I think the hood is about the weakest part of the design. The vents just look tacked on. The Hertz hood is nice though probably not great for a blower.

I loved the concept GT500 hood...thats the one that looks like is on the Hertz shelby. I want that.

i agree. the heat extractor hood on the shelby concept looked great. they must have cut if for more clearances. i am suprised the aftermarket has not produced this hood yet.

That 3Dcarbon hood looks very close to the shelby concept but they don't wanna release it. It's be scheduled for release since Feb. I was sending email after email asking about it and they just BSed me. So I wont buy their products.

just went down today and confirmed the prices on the list. The weird thing is, the back wing for the Shelby is a little over $400. Thats almost as much as the hood. Thats ridiculous. I thought $200 MAYBE even $300 for the wing but not mid $400's. Thats ridiculous. But since I cant buy a Shelby I'll be buying the parts and making it into my own. Of course it'll be lighter than a shelby...more hp.

I dont know the employee pricing but I'm hoping to get it when i finally order my parts. Just amazing seeing a wing cost almost as much as an entire hood.

My first post here,
Two weeks ago I priced the parts out at employee cost and it was gonna be $2300 for everything except the rear bumper, they couldnt find it in the system yet. However that DID include the gauge cluster and the steering wheel (minus airbag).

Also if you want the stripes there are about 17 part numbers for all of them, they are all seperated. The stripes all together would be well over 600 dollars!!!

there should be Zs in place of the 2s. here is a pic of an invoice with SOME of the parts listed on it.

WOW, dealerships never seize to amaze me. They quoted you a TOTALLY different price then me. But you're right, now that I look at the paper I do believe those should be Zs.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, this dealership won't mark up any of the real gt500s that they get, United Auto Group wont allow it. Wish I'd have known that before I went ahead and bought my GT.
