Can you post some pictures of the set-up? $600 isn't too bad at all. I was thinking it'd be a lot more.

FAYS2 Suspension Watts Link page 4

That's what it looks like. The particular model shown in the pics is for the S197 if you notice it has the OEM mounting points of the panhard bar and bracket.

Thanks for the update Walter

I need to do more research, but I only hear positives about the Watts Link.

No problem now back to GT500 spoiler options. Further Watts Link questions should probably be addressed to the thread I had made a while back specifically on the subject.

Just search GT500 spolier. It's the little pic of the red GT500 with white stripes.

+ 1 on the ebay spoiler. $95 shipped with an ebay coupon for me. Color is decent on my Tungsten. Fit was pretty good. If you spend more I doubt you get anything better.

Thanks for the advice on the spoiler store. I just need to find one that is unpainted from them. You guys have been a big help and it seems as if some of you are as picky as I am when it comes to fitment of body pieces. There is nothing worse IMO. Even if others can't see it and I can I don't like it.

Thanks again

No kidding. I bought a CDC Aggressive chin spoiler and it didn't fit perfectly so I HAD to scrap it and buy the Roush fascia.

does the spoiler store gt500 spoiler attach the same way a oem one would? I.E. using the rear holes and covering the front two? no other holes to drill?

It uses the two rear holes and a long piece of double sided body tape. For good measure I filled the front two holes with silicone. I love mine but I have to say the paint is a little sub par. It was orange peely really bad on mine. But nothing a good wetsand and buff cant fix. I got mine for like 110 bucks shipped so all in all it was still a good deal.

I ordered mine today too. Payed $90.00 shipped unpainted. I was looking at $80.00 more dollars if I would have ordered it unpainted. In the auction it explained that Sonic Blue color was an additional $50.00 so having a friend who paints cars for a living works out well.

The orange peel is put there on purpose. The OEM paint jobs have it so it needs to match and it hides imperfections just like the factory orange peel.

maybe your car does, but my car has very little on the A surfaces. little bit more on the B stuff.

orange peel isnt "put" anywhere. no paint lays flat. temp, pressure and mix is what determines how much is visable. i painted my 86 coupe and there was none. people though i had wet sanded it and never have to this day.

Really? What color car do you have? I'm sure I could find plenty of it on your car. I'm pretty knowledgeable about domestic OEM paint and especially Ford paint. I can promise you that orange peel is put on OEM panels because of their waviness due to mass productions and cost cuts. I can't tell you how many people I've seen get their cars wet sanded to remove the clear coat and orange peel completely. Car is re-cleared and they are upset because they can see the waviness in the panels. Take it for what it's worth.

why would someone have the clear sanded off? thats retarded. you could never get it all off without cutting the color. then you risk catching primer. the purpose of wet sanding is to remove peel, imperfections and ready the surfaces for compounds. reclearing the car after wetsanding ( unless you mess it up and HAVE to reshoot clear ) is counter productive. you then have to re-wet sand it again!
"waviness in panels"? sheet metal on cars these days are pretty damn straight and anything that is out of a VERY close tolerance is rejected before the body gets to final assembly line. ever hear of the big 3 selling "bodies in white"? ( its a term, they are not all white ) these cars are the rejects off the line. and even these bodies have to fall in spec! beyond that they are crushed or cut up to find out what went wrong.

color has NOTHING to do with orange peel, its in the clear, not the color. so of the thousands of people that have seen my car, YOUR the one who will find all kinds of peel? ok. you win. your right. i give up.

I'm just going to agree to disagree since you know much more than me.
