Yes you guessed it! My GT has come home! I picked it up from the dealer last night. I have to say it was a crummy night weather wise to pick up a car. Steady rain, bumper to bumper rush hour traffic. I don't think I moved any faster than 15 mph most of the way home. The weather today is still nasty but I did get to drive it today. I LOVE THIS CAR!!!!!!!!!!! That's it I'm hooked for life......a Mustang from now on! I keep trying to think of places to get in the car and go

I sat in the car this morning with the owners manual trying to figure out all of it's bells and whistles. The My Color thing (although I admit not a necessary item) is really kinda cool. I'm running with purple at the moment. I got the shaker 500 and the sound is amazing! The seats are so comfortable and having never driven a Mustang before I just didn't get the "growl" of the engine thing......NOW I do! It sounds awsome! The seatbelt is going to take a little getting useto.....I'm not exactly tall 5'3" on a good day. It's quite a reach behind to get to the seatbelt and it crosses over almost right up against my neck. I find myself trying to readjust it constantly, but I''m sure I'll get useto it.

I know I said I would post pictures.......I promise I'll take them tomorrow as soon as the rain stops! The wait was a killer (for me) for this car but it was worth it! Take heart any of you waiting for your cars, I'm sure you'll see that it was worth the wait too!!!!!

Hey Jersey. I picked up my GT last week, and I'm right there with you. I'm a girl also, can't really tell from my screen name. Looks like we're in the minority here, but it's great to be a girl driving a new Mustang GT! Loving every minute of it!

Funny, I thought I had run out of fantasies. Never thought about a woman in the new mustang!!! LOL. Welcome to the club Jersey. I had the EXACT same feelings when I came home in mine. Almost like carrying your first child home from the hospital after he/she is born. Well, maybe not. I have no kids but I would imagine the feeling of pride and wanting everyone to look at what I just got would be the same!

It is a great car and I have loved every single mile of my red GT.

P.S. - the seatbelt position is just crap. It's not even a height thing. I am 6'-0 and can't reach the damn thing without pulling several muscles in my back. It's all because of the C pillar. Throwbacks have their drawbacks, me guesses.

I'm all about, like, what colors have you got on yours? Are they 6s or 8s, manual or auto?

Ok here are the specs. Redfire GT (V8 of course) Dark char. interior, IUP, Automatic (sorry guys), Shaker 500, 17" alum. rims. Anti theft, wheel locks, I guess that's about it. Did I leave anything out?????

LOL.....welcome to a NEW fantasy! A woman in an 05 Mustang is a great thing !!!!

Thanks for the seatbelt info, I thought it was just my lack of height to reach the darn thing.

You know, like I said it's been raining ever since I brought the new baby home but it sure doesn't stop people on the streets from stopping to watch you go by. I've had a ball today! I can't tell you how many guys have stopped and stared as I drove by today. Everyone can't help but watch this car. It's great. I even had this car pull up next to me at a red light today and the guy driving rolls down his window and says "wow that's a beautiful car". I should have had one of these when I was single.....lol

Prolly a good call on the automatic in Jersey. Nothing like creeping in traffic with a 5 speed. GRRRRRRRRRR!!

That reminds me I still need to put my wheel locks on.

Goin' to now....

I am single but the women who stare at my car wanna date my car! My stang gets more action than me! LOL! Maybe if I had V8 muscles and an aggressive grill I could get more looks. Scratch that. An aggressive grill means bad things in my neck of the woods. Like orthodontics.

I make me laugh.

Have fun in the new car. Just remember to drive it like you stole it!

Kudos on your new car, and the choice of colors, too! I was about to get on my favorite 'board' here this morning, and started laughing. I had a dream last nite that I woke up and found the one I wanted in my garage, Redfire. I haven't ordered one yet, but I'll get one next year, hopefully early on. Anyway, in my dream I was looking at it and kept thinking, yeah, this has to be a dream, but it sat there as I looked at it, and I opened the door and looked inside. Then I closed it. But then I was walking away and looked back, and it disappeared. Bummer! I'm sure happy to hear about others getting a good car, though!

Hey! I'm a girl! But I don't have a GT. Really couldn't afford those payments, just have a Coupe. She still hauls ass, tho!
