Hmm I guess since mine is a different year its on the passenger side. Also when I took off the hose to PCV the motor would die instatly. Put if I pulled the pvc out of the cam cover it would still run fine and fit perfectly into opening of Seafoam can.

Has that 14 page Seafoam thread died yet??

Exactly. The other important thing is that once you suck half the bottle that you kill the engine, so that some liquid is still sitting in the intake, and on top of the pistons to eat away the carbon.

I just did it a week or so ago. I got the engine to normal opperating temperature, then turned it off. I disconnected the hose from the PCV valve (as seen in the mega-zoom pic below) and snaked the pipe that connects that hose to the IAC valve out from the other stuff on top of it, then spun the PCV hose over to get a better angle on the can of Seafoam. I got back in the car and started it, giving it a little gas to keep it alive until it stabilizes and can idle on it's own (it will be a low, rough idle but it shouldn't die). Back out under the hood I just kept gradually tipping the top of the can towards the hose. There's enough vacuum to suck it out of the can, so pouring isn't really necessary. After 1/3-1/2 of the can is gone I turned the car off, snaked the tube back thru, hooked the hose back up to the PCV valve, poured the remainder in my gas tank and cracked a beer. About 15 minutes/1 beer later I fired it up. It chugged a little at first then the smoke came :) . I took it out and drove it hard for 15-20 minutes and all was good :nice:

I did mine about 2 weeks ago 1/2 can through the intake 1/2 in the gas tank and for some reason my gas mileage has gone to hell 30 to 40 miles less per tank. The car also feels slower, fouled o2 sensor?

Is the check engine light on?
This is the first time I've heard of this happening.
