Eh, they get posted now and again in the "social" boards. Honestly, very few people really care because comparing ePeen size is dicey at best. I mean, my eMustang, as of date, is one of fastest ones on StangNet having blown the doors off most of the cover vehicles for Car and Driver for the past 7 years, especially on road courses. Laser is really fast, too, having actually run that big Texas top end run several years. His best finish was fourth, but he got kudos for doing the whole thing in reverse . . . at night. He's looking at a two speed powerglide sub-tranny in order to actually have TWO reverse gears (high and low) for next year.
Doc usually has good stories, but his GT-40 has been in the shop quite a while. Per the police report, he was racing some Russian billionaire in Europe, and, little did they know, there was a Formula 1 race going on in the city. Doc managed to make it through the slow traffic, but the Russian, he wasn't so lucky. He crashed through the back of the lead three cars sending debris everywhere. The old GT-40, it managed to fend off most of the plastic shrapnel just fine, but somehow an axle off the Russian's Bugatti went plunging through the number 4 turbo on Doc's ride. With NASA being shut down so long for the sequester, it's going to be a while before he gets a replacement.
Co, Noobz, and Rbhom all have sub-10 second cars, which aren't bad for their econobox daily drivers. Jinx, I hear, has got his Mustang back on the streets. He ran it as a Rally car for a while, but he killed 683 people in Nambia when the grill came off his intake. It was ugly, and he's been in therapy since July. He still managed to finish the race, naturally. I think he got second behind Bakos who is still campaigning his 1973 Oscar-Meyer weinermobile. Ford AND Subaru have sued to have it declared illegal in international competition, but it's grandfathered in under almost every sanctioning body in the racing community. Last I heard, if he shows up with it, he's immediately declared the "winner emeritus" so the second place guy can actually be labeled as first place.
Ronin used to post a lot of "kill" stories from his Mustang, but he had a really nasty accident where a couple of people died. Word is Ronin got caught up in a street race with a couple of other drivers. Our guy got left at the line because he lost traction, but when he did, it was so violent that he actually ran down the other two vehicles. Estimated speed was something like 160 or 170 mph. The driver of the CBR1000 died on the spot because the collision erupted his nitros bottle. The driver of the Hyabusa lived about an hour because he was actually thrown over the top of Ronin's minivan and landed in a muddy field. I was told in some confidence that the guy would have lived, but the shame of the entire event was too much to live with. He bit his own tongue off and bled to death quietly in the ambulance.
Afterbrnr's ride isn't really that fast, but it's amazing off the line. A new member here asked him "hey, why do they call you Afterburner?" LOL! A-burn asked him if he wanted to race, and the new guy was all over it. It was ugly. We call that new guy Ash, now. If you ever want to see what an F-16 with no wings looks like, ask A-burn if he wants to run light to light with you. Oh, and he WILL agree to a rolling start.
Winters and Tex had decent cars, but Roger Penske ended up buying them. They got them back, though. He said that he didn't have a driver that would get back in them. Then he said something about not being able to figure out how to get them out of second gear. Dunno. There's some kind of federal gag order after the lawsuit Penske filed to get a refund (he lost).
85_SS has an interesting car. He's got a Fox body that's been lengthened like a limo. It's like 30 friggin' feet long. He had to do it because unmodified, it's so fast that it won't break the light beams at the end of the quarter mile track. With the extra length, it breaks the light long enough for the sensor to actually see it. On the bright side, it REALLY jacked up his weight transfer to the rear tires, and he can get like ALL of the first three rows of drag slicks to hook up. That leaves him plenty of tires left to stay moving after the first ones evaporate.
RedLX and Turkey Sandwich have lots of kills. The actually swapped cars during the summer. It wouldn't have been such a big deal except it was at Bristol during the NASCAR race . . . and the cars were moving at the time . . . and it wouldn't have been THAT unusual except that they had to dive over the vehicle in the middle who was actually in the lead at the time. MAN Crovax was mad! They put footprints all over his hood, and dern near caused him to lose the lead. Not that it mattered, of course. His Keystone Beer sponsored ride was deemed illegal . . . as the truck didn't have a restrictor plate, the diesel smoke was choking the other drivers, and it was throwing beer bottles out on the turns. Man, NASCAR is getting REALLY picky these days.
For about 8 months, Strype ACTUALLY had the fastest car on StangNet. NOBODY could figure out his secret . . . till TheRican kicked over his trash can. Since then, he just hasn't been able to pull together those 1/4 mile times like he used to. Probably a good thing. The g-forces on his pre-knocked-over-trash-can runs were so bad that on three occasions, upon getting out of the car, he was actually called Speaker Pelosi.
All that being said, dude, if you have some cool kill stories, feel free to post them up. Honestly, though, I don't think any of the old hands here will be terribly impressed.
