then Ford put some grease and re-tourqued the bolts, as I thought they would have to do, and it hasnt happend since. All they have to do is grease the fittings and they wont have to waste our time and theirs Mustang5L5 said:I have the whine in nuetral too.
I've had it since new. Easiest way to hear it is park your car next to a wall on the drivers side. Rev the engine in nuetral with the clutch out. It makes a whine. push the clutch in and it's gone.

I've heard some has sprayed a penetrant type lube into them to get rid of it, but I can't see how that could be effective enough to totally get rid of the noise.maxima said:cant i just grease the steering rack bushings without takeing everything apart?
