Ok guys I know this has probably been asked before but I'm trying to understand this..

If i get a 3000, does that mean that at every light my car will rev to 3000 before it starts to move? Cause I use my car daily, and that seems like it would be a pain to drive all day..

Guys how does your car drive or take off from the light under normal driving?

Does it rev to 3000 and lounge or slowly take off from the light if you so chose?

well i have the option of getting a 2500/2800 or a 3200/3500 stall and I'm trying to decided which way to go. Your opinions please?

Oh and this guy is local and builds them for alot of racers. No complaints from anyone i have talked too....yet

I was worried about the exact same thing you are. Took a lot of time, money, and guts to make that jump.

As people have already stated. It takes a LITTLE more gas to get going, but it's not bad at all. I drive my car daily as well. I was really worried about driving the car in the rain.

To be honest it's a bit easier if you use some smarts. You have slightly less power to the wheels when you roll out of a stop light. As long as you don't hit the above the "stall" it's easier to drive and get traction. You just definately don't "jump on it".

IF the price is the same, I would go for the bigger of the two choices. :nice:

The ONLY problem I have had with my car is slowly climbing a REALLY steep hill with slick pavement or gravel. I've had one I know I couldn't have gone up if it had been raining. But it was steep to an extreme.

If your planning on turboing your car then yeah, the bigger stall should be fine. By the mods in your sig though, I'd really think it's just too much, and will probably hurt more then help by pulling you out of your stockish powerband.

BTW- Just got back from a drive in the rain in my car with a 3000 RPM stall, Powertrax locker, and BFG drag radials. No problems at all. :D

I only want to add my 2 cents....I didn't see your mods but I went with a 2300 stall and it was a waste of money......cheaper at the beginning but holds my car back so bad at launch...so I now have a 3400 Edge waiting to be installed......don't make the same mistake I made.....get the right one now and not have to purhase another down the road........

If your not sure of buying one and want to try one out, you can have mine when I pull it in the next few weeks. You will have to come get it or something can be set up but if your not planning on doing a major engine mod I think the 2300 may work for you until you beef that engine up and "need" the 3000 k.....
