Guys with 4-cyl T-5's whats your 1/4 mile time?

As you can see in my sig, I'm still running a 4 cylinder T-5 and a 7.5" rearend with stock 2.73's for now. I ran pathetic at the track last Friday and consistenly ran low 16 second passes.

First Run:
R/T: .708
60': 2.535
330: 6.847
1/8: 10.433
MPH: 68.53
1000: 13.567
1/4: 16.233
MPH: 84.66

Second Run:
R/T: .646
60': 2.376
330: 6.634
1/8: 10.219
MPH: 68.51
1000: 13.348
1/4: 16.025
MPH: 84.44

Third Run:
R/T: .363
60': 2.429
330: 6.780
1/8: 10.428
MPH: 67.75
1000: 13.579
1/4: 16.285
MPH: 83.61

I was just wondering what times other people were getting with the 4-cylinder T-5 in there car. I know my 60' times really need improvement; I just rebuilt an 8.8 rear with 3.73's and a Detroit True-Trac to kill the one-wheel peel so that ought to help. I'm currently working on getting a Tremec, but just wanted to see how far I could go with this tranny.

Thanks

Those are nasty 60 foot times lol My friend has a stock motor, 3:55's and 4 banger T5, he runs in the low/flat 8's in the 1/8 mile with street 17" tires.

friend went well into the 11's with stock motor and 175shot, 3.73's with the 4cylinder 5 spd tranny.
was likely a time bomb, but, survived that particular summer.

I sold a friend of mine a 20th anniv car i had a 4banger t-5 in, his mods were weiand intake,650 holley, full lengths with dumped pipes, and it had 3.08s. He ran high 14s at PIR with it when we all went. He can drive and shift really well though, oh y ea, he wasnt power shifting either and was on street tires, he has since blown the front third of the crank and two rods out the front of the block too though.

Well, I know my 60' times are rediculous thats why I'm working on the rearend and rear suspension right now. The engine is a H.O. roller and I completely rebuilt it from the ground up. I'm not running a smog pump or A/C. The only real mods to the engine itself is exhaust right now. I didn't use the Nitto's at the track because I knew I only had one wheel spinning, thats why the True Trac is on the way. The rearend is ready to go in now, just debating on whether or not to wait until I have new upper and lower control arms. I'm going to weld the torque boxes while the rear is out. I should have a tranny by the end of the month if I don't spend anymore money on other parts. :owned:

Ok wait a second here. You mean there is a car on here that I can beat! Holy cow man don't fix a thing so I can actually win a race! My Vert AOD actually runs better than that. Of course like I said once you get the 60 down you will be long gone from me. I just love my 2.2 60 and the blistering 15.5 in the ole quarter. Yee haw.
