How do you get these cars to idle with a custom Cam. I have the E303 and the Idle sucks. The engine races all the time unless I am at a complete stopp.. if I rev it.. it hangs at 1700 for a few seconds (10 or so) and then goes back to 1000.

I am thinking of getting a tweecer.. but how do you guys do it?

Thanks for the input

Alot of guys mess with the screw on the TB. The only real way to get it nailed down is to get a custom chip or tuning device.

Performance Specialties in Pottstown PA suggested to swap out the ECU for one from an older Mustang. I have been looking at the TwEEcer's and am thinking for $400.00 thats my best bet..

I tuned my e to idle rock solid around 750.

1. set your TPS, it is off it it is hanging idle like that.
2. fuel pressure has an adverse effect on the idle surge the higher you go on mine. find a happy median where it wont surge.
3. try bringing yoru ccar up to 900ish with the throttle stop screw. This should steady it out and yoru computer most likely will bring it back down, if not you can reset the computer and it will learn the new idle after you set those things.

I wouldn't suggest going with a Fox computer. While its settings are more "aggresive", in the end you will still be stuck with a stock factory computer. Get a Tweecer or a new JMS chip burnt.
