I have a Sportline Kit, but believe you can achieve the same amount of drop with the Pro-Kit. I have 1.5" / 1.75" on mine. Hope it helps.

I just won an Ebay auction of Eibach Pro-kit. I noticed in your signatures none of you have C/C plates. I have read you need them, I have read you don't. Have any of you had any excessive tire wear or bad alignment problems? Thanks

The inside of my tires burned away after installing my 1.5" drop on my old 98 4.6. And yes I did get an alignment. The alignment shop told me that I needed CC plates.

Then again, I've heard lots of people say that a drop of no more than 1.5" won't require CC plates.

Maybe I just had bad luck?

I had a tire shop (Les Schwab) install mine for me. They also put some camber adjusters (um, are these "C/C plates?") and alligned everything for me--it was all done at once. I'll have to go look on my bill to see what they did. LOL Sorry, I'm not super technical as of yet. But, figured it would help.

Usually with 1.5" drop or less you won't need them. If you get a little more aggresive with your drop you'll definitely need them...

I got them just so that My suspension would be complete. I would recommend them to any one because the thing about the plates is that you can adjust you caster. you can adjust you camber from the factory.

Eibach Pro-Kit with non-adjustable Tokico's and BBK C/C plates. I highly recommend C/C plates. You will never get the alignment right without them.

However most people suggest not going any lower then 1" because it might mess up the geometry of the suspension and it will end up hurting performance. Also, if you are going to drop it you may want to shell out the extra cash to upgrade your shocks and struts. With a lowered vehicle the stock shocks and struts will not handle the lower car as well as an aftermarket shock/strut will...just a suggestion.

Pro-kit
Illumina shock/strut
Steeda 4 bolt CC

IMO get the CC plates when you get it dropped, saves money in the long run. I couldn't get mine to align w/o them.

Hey stl gt I was told we had to use 3 bolt c/c plates on our cars because thats what they are set up for, is that not true? are the 4 bolts a lot better than the 3 bolts? are they more adjustable?
Does anyone recomend installing a bumsteer kit and/or new ball joints(such as steedas) when getting new springs/shocks/struts/cc's? Will the car handle a lot better than without?

They have to be drilled, but all of the shop guys that I trusted said 4 bolt for sure. Suspension isn't my thing so I trusted them and my car drives well and is nearly perfectly aligned.

No clue on the bumpsteer.

I have the prokit with steeda cc plates and I've experienced no tire wear at all. I love the prokit!

Prokit. Didn't need CC plates. Alignement was still within specs after. Dropped it exactly 1.5 in.

Click sig for a few pics.
