ok i have no bushings up front spherical strut,gw lca and uca(ok a few bushings!), roller perches this is on a 66 fairlane (which came stock with 67 stang front) and i need more caster so i have to take it all apart again take the plate off the back and shim the front bolt(losing the plate), i can guesstimate on how much to shim but what is the max caster i can put on this thing or achieve? i ran out of room with tire front fender clearance and strut adjustment, so while im doing this i might as well get as much as i can. im just guessing but im thinking i should put about3/4-1inch, but the gap is what has me a little worried a wedge would be better so i may fab one but please do advise me on how thick to go and any other tips...thanks
also is there a way to make the car not lean the wrong way in a turn? i mean if the bank is the wrong way to the turn she leans more than i like, but hek i just saw a ferarri lean pretty bad. i have big front and rear sway bars setup correctly can they work against each other? sorry i this isnt clear. its hard to explain in writing! this shimming is what steve at GW told me to do, when i see the bmw's parked with the wheels turned all the way the have so much caster almost looks like they could meet a slipping point real easy on the wrong terrain. thanks this wil also give me more neg camber as i ran out of adjustment there too, luckily its just right but i am sick of changing springs only to find they dont jive, and these springs are perfect.
