make sure u have the right length intake bolts, alot of spare vac hose 3/8 and 5/16, vac caps just in case, spare hose clamps in case yours are crap.
Antifreeze, oil, a shim kit in case you need one....
prob sme more stuff I forgot.
New spark plugs and cap&rotor while you're in there...

You can get by without replacing the lifters, but it's not recommended.

Make sure those heads come with guideplates, and the right size studs for those rockers.

You might need an intake spacer if you're running taller valve covers. I needed a 3/8" spacer for my TB to clear my valve covers. Then you'll need longer upper intake bolts.

Do you have a torque wrench? Feeler gauge? Fuel line disconnect tool? Balancer puller? Power steering pump pulley puller?

Might wanna change out the t-stat if you haven't already done it.

LOTS and LOTS of clear baggies! Label EVERYTHING you take off! Like for instance, when you take the upper intake off, the bolts should go straight into a baggie with upper intake bolts written on it. You will be glad you did later, trust me.

Remember, on the valve covers, there is a certain pattern that the bolts vs. studs go. Same goes for the lower intake plenum. Remember which goes where. I marked on the lower with a magic marker an "S" where the studs went.

Good luck, take pictures as they might help you remember how everything is supposed to look.

Oh yea, a shop vac will be useful to get all the oil/coolant/gasket material out of the cylinders when you pull the heads. :nice:
