h-pipe help

im gonna get the mac true dual exhaust kit. but idk if im gonna go w/ the off-road h-pipe or the regular h-pipe. what is the difference in sound? i work nite shift so when i come home for lunch i dont want it loud for the neighbors sake. thanks for the help.

I would definitely go for the off road it cost less and is lighter with out the kitty cats it would sound louder and meaner like a mustang should. Buy your neighbors ear plugs

It'll be much louder without the cats. Not shake the walls loud, but the neighbors will know you're home...

Also remember that you won't pass an e-test without cats, if that's relevant in whatever state you're in).

Not cats will give better performance, and is lighter and cheaper, though. Your call.

luckily there isnt an etest in south carolina. is there anything to compare the sound to for an offroad h-pipe? sound file?

I don't have a sound file. But just think of or listen to the sound of an older car, something from the 60s that doesn't have cats. It'll sound just about exactly like that in terms of volume. The V6 will sound less 'burbly' and more 'smooth', though, which may be good or bad, depending on whether you like it.

Maybe someone else here has a sound byte...
