H pipe question

i bought a off-road h-pipe with the idea that when emmissions time came id pop my other one on and test and take off... to me now. it seems like i might as well just buy 2 hi flow cats and have a guy weld them on there and just never worry about it.. does that sound like a good idea? and does anyone know where i can get 2 good working hi flow cats.. also what does an air tube do on a cat i have an 88LX if it makes a difference.

the air tube puts air into the exhaust kinda dilute's it and clean's it up a bit. look into bassani new cat they dont use ceramic supose to be the best 600hp cobra they used them on gained hp from the ceramic bassani cats he already had. that h-pipe can be changed out to run cats or no cats useing clamps(and straight pipe peices). but if a 600hp cobra gaind hp you wont notice a loss at all.

I liked my high flow h pipe, didn't rob me from any noticeable horsepower compared to an off road pipe.

Main difference will be the sound. It'll be q little quieter... which just means the cops won't glare at you quite as closely. Not necessarily a bad thing.
