H&R Spacers/Eibach Spacers

I did a search and could not find the info I was looking for so here it goes...I just mounted the 99 Cobra 17 by 8 Polished Aluminum rims on my 97 GT and what size do I need for the back. There seems to be 1" (25mm), 1 3/16" (30mm), and 1 3/8 (35mm). As it goes I will be using these rims for awhile. Thus the need for spacers.

I had purchased wheel adapters in 1.25" size to push out my stock 17x8" rims, which pushed the wheels out just the right amount. Assuming the Cobra rims have the same offset, you should be good to go with the 30mm ones (closest to 1.25").

Here's a pic of mine from an angle that shows how they made the rims flush with the fender. FYI, I liked the adapters so much being pushed out to the edge, when I got my '03 Cobra Rims on I waited about 3 days till I put them (17x9").

1" Pro Spacers were fine for the rear of my 02 GT with the factory 17x8 Bullitts. Personally, I would think anything more than an inch is too much. Perhaps the non-New Edge body can take more spacer...

New edge style (99-04) models do have ~ 1" wider rear end (1/2" per side) and of course different rear fenders than SN95s do.

To determine the width I needed to order I took a straight edge (think I used a ruler) and placed it flush against the tire running up to the fenderwell. Then took a measurement on how deep the ruler was to the outside fender and it came out to 1.25" - so that is what I ordered.

Yeah, yours looks perfect with the additional 1/4" of spacing. As I said: "Perhaps the non-New Edge body can take more spacer..." Yours is proof they can
